We’ll start our tour at the Royal Palace. From there, you may stroll through the historic neighborhoods to visit the Almudena Cathedral, Plaza Mayor, and Santa Cruz Palace.

Learn about the interesting Bakery House and the San Miguel Market’s tapas-filled stalls. This region is charming, thanks in part to the 16th and 17th century ruling powers known as the Habsburgs, who gave the quarter its name. In the Old City, you’ll even find the world’s oldest restaurant; be sure to inquire about their specialties.

Wander through the 19th century as the Bourbon dynasty transformed Madrid. Admire the magnificent Royal Palace, the biggest operational palace in all of Europe.

Explore the Plaza de Oriente’s gardens, which were created by the brother of French emperor Napoleon. As your eyes dart from left to right in admiration of the French-inspired architecture, you’ll pass by the Royal Theater.
