Nothing beats a tour of the Prado Museum if you have a keen eye and a passion for art. The gallery is ornate and cultured beyond belief.
Discover a work collection that dates from 1657, spans the 16th and 19th centuries, and includes over 2,300 paintings. It includes works such as Velázquez’s “Las Meninas” and El Bosco’s “El Jardn de Las Delicias.”
Immerse yourself in the history of Spanish art by viewing masterpieces from various ages. The Prado Museum is a terrific place to view turn-of-the-century art, from the first known pieces of art to the world’s most recognizable.
The collection is one-of-a-kind and a never-ending showcase of an amazing story!
We will then be moved to another artistic era. The Reina Sofía Museum expands the modern and contemporary history of Spanish art by housing the work of Spain’s top 20th-century painters.
The neoclassical structure was previously a hospital run by Philip II in the 16th century. After being designated a historical-artistic monument in 1977, the site was shuttered and later rebuilt in 1980 as the Reina Sofía Museum.
This is the artistic and cultural walk that will lead you to the best artworks in Spanish history!
