Ayutthaya was sadly ransacked and plundered by the Burmese in April 1767, and although many buildings were damaged or destroyed you can still get an amazing sense of what this place must have once been like. There are so many temples here, roughly 400 years old and some are still in amazing condition.

This incredible day trip takes you back in time and away from the busy city, made easy with return transport from Bangkok and a tasty lunch included.
