What we will see & where we will be

This is a fun Rome walking tour where you will see the top 30 Rome Attractions in 5 hours and uncover the secrets within the walls of the Castel Sant’Angelo, a historic mausoleum museum on the Tiber River’s right bank with audioguide. 

This tour takes you through Rome’s best known areas. We begin the tour outside the Colosseum, where gladiatorial fights were staged for hundreds of years your guide will regale you with stories and historical context to this magnificent building.

Then it’s time to head north from the Colosseum, and admire the sights along the way, including the Vittorio Emanuele II Monument, The Forum (heart of the Roman Empire 1900 years ago), and Palatine Hill.

After we take a well-deserved break for some ice cream before going through the heart of Rome. See the Piazza Novana, The Pantheon, St Maria Sopra Minerva Basilica (Michelangelo sculpture), Palazzo Cipolla, and the amazing huge baroque Trevi Fountain.

Stop and marvel at the Spanish Steps & see the famous Medici Villa. We then cross the Tiber. Bridges and sights you will see here include Ponte Sant’Angelo, Ponte Vittorio Emanuele II & the incredible Castel Sant’Angelo. 

We finish the tour at the awe-inspiring square at the amazing huge baroque Trevi Fountain.

After your walking tour you will make your way to Lungotevere Castello to receive your audioguide access to explore Castel Sant’Angelo with skip-the-line ticket.

Skip the lines and walk inside to browse through the artifacts that narrate the building’s many transformations. First erected to be a monumental tomb, then a fortress during the medieval ages, and a defensive post for barbarian invasions, the castle will offer you new insights into Roman history.

End this informative trip on the Castle’s astonishing roof terrace and have a picturesque view of the whole city. Be prepared to spot Vatican City, the Tiber River, and the famous Bridge of Angels.

The tour is 7 hours in duration (5 hours Rome Walking Tour & 2 hours at The Castel Sant’Angelo). (We will not accompany you inside The Castel Sant’Angelo)
