If you love the wizarding world and want to indulge in the amazing drinks that Scotland is so famous for, then this is the combo tour for you! Set off on a magical tour of Edinburgh with our fun Potter-head guide to see the places that inspired JK Rowling, followed by a gin tasting experience with a true expert!

Starting at Tron Kirk on The Royal Mile, we first head to historic Waverley Station. Then head to Edinburgh University Old College – a famous old campus which provided lots of inspiration for JK Rowling’s creations.

We continue through the atmospheric Old Town, stopping at Greyfriars Kirkyard which is home to Tom Riddle’s Grave and passing by the Elephant Café where JK Rowling sat for many hours dreaming up her wizarding world! 

Get amazing views of Edinburgh Castle on our way to Victoria Street – said to be the inspiration for a very famous wizarding alley – and we finish near Edinburgh City Chambers where you’ll learn about JK Rowling’s impact on the city.

After the tour, enjoy some free time before heading to an underground cellar where your gin expert will lead the most atmospheric gin experience you will ever have. You will try multiple gins from various different regions – a perfect way to kick off your evening!

Where we meet

We meet outside of the Tron Kirk market, opposite Bella Italia on the world-famous Royal Mile. The nearest train station is Waverly Station, a 10-minute walk away.
